Cala Mesquida Beach, Mallorca Live Cam

Cala Mesquida is a bay backed by dunes and pine on the north-east corner of Mallorca, in the municipality of Capdepera. The camera looks down the beach from the slope at one end.

The dune system behind the sand is one of the few left intact on the island and is protected as a natural area; boardwalks keep people off the marram grass that holds the whole thing together.

The beach faces north-east, so it takes the tramuntana and gets surf on days when most of Mallorca is flat. Capdepera castle, a fourteenth-century walled enclosure on a hill, is four kilometres inland, and Cala Ratjada is the next town along the coast.
