Lifjell Vinterland, Telemark Live Cam

This webcam overlooks Vinterland, the beginner ski area at Lifjell in Midt-Telemark, where a gentle slope rises towards a spruce-covered knoll. Mobile snow cannons stand on the slope, and a tall lattice mast rises above the trees on the right.

Vinterland is a separate part of the Lifjell ski area set aside for children and newcomers to alpine skiing and snowboarding. It has one easy run of about 350 metres served by a platter lift and lies close to the Lifjellstua mountain lodge above Bø. The main ski centre, with its T-bar lift and longer runs, is about a kilometre to the east.

The camera faces straight up the slope, so the beginner run, the snow cannons and the rocky knoll behind them fill most of the frame. Lighting poles stand on the left, and outside the snow season the ground shows grass and scattered stones instead of a groomed piste.
