Lifjell Ski Centre, Telemark Live Cam

This webcam looks up a run at Lifjell Ski Centre in Midt-Telemark, where a gravel track climbs the slope past rows of tall spruce trees. Lighting poles and overhead lines cross the hillside, and a small cabin stands at the top of the run.

Lifjell is a mountain area above the village of Bø in Telemark county, known for alpine skiing and cross-country trails. The ski centre has a T-bar lift and four runs of varying difficulty, from about 300 to 1,200 metres long. The beginner area Vinterland lies about a kilometre to the west, near the Lifjellstua mountain lodge.

To the right, a forested valley dotted with holiday cabins leads to a rocky ridge on the horizon, and a Norwegian flag flies beside a building near the slope. Outside the snow season the run is covered in grass, so the picture shows at once whether snow has reached the mountain.
