Prinses Margriethaven, Maasvlakte Live Cam

From a pontoon in the Prinses Margriethaven on Rotterdam's Maasvlakte 2, the view runs south-west to the ship-to-shore cranes of APM Terminals. Container ships berth beneath the light-blue cranes, mooring posts stand in the foreground and more cranes line the quays further away.

Maasvlakte 2, land reclaimed from the North Sea, opened in May 2013 as the newest part of Rotterdam's harbour. The basin is named after Princess Margriet, and the FutureLand visitor centre stands on its shore. APM Terminals Maasvlakte II opened here in April 2015 as the first container terminal to run its quay cranes by remote control.

This pan-tilt-zoom camera switches between a wide view of the quay cranes, a berthed ship and wind turbines on the horizon, and a closer shot of the barge berth with stacked containers and an automated stacking crane.
