Johan Setia, Klang Live Cam

Two drainage channels meet under a concrete bridge at Johan Setia, and this flood-watch camera looks down on the junction from a mast beside the road. The junction sits right at the edge of the built-up area.

A blue instrument cabinet with a solar panel stands in the fenced compound at the bottom left, a line of red pennants runs along the far bank, and the water sits well below the top of the channel in this frame. Houses with tiled roofs and palms fill the far side; the road on the left carries the traffic north.

Klang is flat, low and close to the sea, so channels like this one are what keeps the neighbourhood dry through the monsoon. The picture is worth reading as a level gauge: at the end of the year the same channel can run within a metre of the deck.
