The Shinkansen depot at Settsu lies below this webcam, on the northeastern edge of the city of Osaka in Japan. Rows of white and blue high-speed trainsets stand on the depot roads, with the main line crossing the frame in front of them.

This yard services the Tokaido Shinkansen, the busiest high-speed line in the world, which runs trains between Tokyo and Osaka at intervals of a few minutes. Sets are cleaned, checked and turned round here between duties, and the monorail crosses nearby.

Movements are heaviest in the evening as trains come off the line. The depot lights make it as legible after dark as in daylight.
