Misho Bay, Ainan Live Cam

Misho Bay in Ainan spreads out below this hilltop camera in Maseyama Park, with wooded headlands and a small island along its shore. The inlet winds between green hills into the distance, while the park lawn and treetops fill the foreground.

Ainan is the southernmost town in Ehime Prefecture, on the Uwa Sea coast of western Shikoku, and its ria coastline is part of Ashizuri-Uwakai National Park. Misho Bay has a narrow mouth and a long reach inland, and aquaculture rafts dot its sheltered water. The town is also a leading producer of young pearl oysters.

From this height the middle of the bay is in full view: a wooded islet near the closer shore, a fishing settlement on a low peninsula and warehouses by the water. Ridges of forested hills rise behind the far shore.
