Western Countryside View, Mazara del Vallo Live Cam

This weather camera looks west over olive-grove farmland on the outskirts of Mazara del Vallo in western Sicily. An olive tree and a shrub frame the left side, a dirt track crosses the foreground and a low concrete fence marks the far edge of the field.

Mazara del Vallo is a fishing port in the province of Trapani on the southwestern coast of Sicily. The camera stands in open farmland north of the town. Far offshore to the west lie the Egadi Islands, including Marettimo.

Because the view runs west, the morning sun lights the field from behind the camera. In the evening the sun sinks toward the horizon at the left side of the frame, and the sky turns from blue to orange over the flat land.
