Lake Piediluco Live Cam

This camera looks over Lake Piediluco in the province of Terni, southern Umbria, from the lakeside village of Piediluco toward wooded hills. A cone-shaped hill rises from the far shore, houses of the village line the water on the left, and cypress tops fill the foreground.

Lake Piediluco is the second largest natural lake in Umbria after Lake Trasimeno and a remnant of the ancient Lacus Velinus. Together with the Velino river, it feeds the Marmore Falls. Its calm water hosts the Italian national rowing centre, where the national team trains. On the southern shore, Monte Caperno is known for its echo.

The camera faces south-east across the main basin from the western end of the village. The old houses curve away along the left shore toward distant ridges, while on the right the lake runs on behind the hill to a wooded, almost unbuilt shore.
