Lido di Genova, Italy Live Cam

The Lido di Genova is a bathing establishment on the eastern shore of Genoa, in the Italian region of Liguria. The webcam looks over the beach and the sea from behind it.

Genoa has almost no natural beach: the city runs along a narrow shelf under the hills, and what shore there is has been built up with concrete platforms and cabins since the nineteenth century.

The promenade running east from here, the Corso Italia, ends at Boccadasse, a fishing cove of coloured houses that the city grew around without swallowing. The port on the other side of the centre was the base of a republic that ran Mediterranean trade for four hundred years.
