Mont Cindre, Lyon Live Cam

A panoramic view from Mont Cindre, a hill in the Monts d'Or north-west of Lyon, over the suburbs and the wide plain around the city. The camera turns between several views, so the frame alternates between the city on the horizon and the valley below.

Mont Cindre rises above the Saône valley in the commune of Saint-Cyr-au-Mont-d'Or, one of the wooded Monts d'Or hills on the northern side of Lyon. Its summit is a well-known viewpoint, and the built-up area of the metropolis lies spread out below to the south and east.

In clear weather the horizon shows the eastern plain and tall towers on the Lyon skyline, while other positions look down at the red-tiled houses and parks of the hillside suburbs. A lattice mast with antennas stands at the lower edge of some views, and low cloud or fog can hide the city completely.
