Köngäs, Levi Live Cam

Köngäs is a village in Kittilä municipality, north of the Levi ski area. The Elves Village (Tonttula) tourist site stands in the same village on the bank of the Ounasjoki river, roughly 7 km from the ski area in a straight line, and the camera is located a little north of it.

The lens sits low and has a very wide angle, so the sky fills most of the frame while the ground is only a narrow strip along the bottom. With such a low horizon, clouds, twilight and any glow above the far treeline are easy to follow.
