Sorocaba state airport lies to the west of the city of São Paulo, in the interior of the state, in Brazil. The camera looks over the apron and the hangars at the light aircraft parked there.

The field is a centre for business aviation and aircraft maintenance rather than for airlines, with shops that fit interiors and overhaul engines for the executive fleet of the whole country.

The town made its money as a market for mules. Animals driven up from the far south along the old cattle road were sold at fairs here from the seventeenth century, and the trade paid for the buildings in the middle of the city.
