Sunset Beach Marsh and Bridge, North Carolina Live Cam

This camera looks over the salt marsh at Sunset Beach, North Carolina, toward the high-rise bridge that links the island with the mainland. Sunset Boulevard crosses the marsh on a low causeway and meets the bridge at the right edge of the frame.

Sunset Beach is a small town in Brunswick County with the last developed beach before the South Carolina line. Its bridge spans the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway and opened in 2010, replacing a one-lane pontoon swing bridge from 1958. A local society saved the old bridge, which now serves as a museum.

The fixed camera sits on the deck of an inn on the marsh side of the island and faces west. Tidal channels wind through the grass beyond the road, and houses on the mainland line the horizon.
