San Francisco, several viewpoints Live Cam

Several cameras share this feed, cutting between viewpoints over San Francisco from the hills around the city. The downtown towers, the bay and the bridges take turns in the frame.

The pointed tower is the Transamerica Pyramid, finished in 1972 and shaped that way to let daylight down to the streets and keep the mass low in an earthquake. The flat-topped one beside it is Salesforce Tower, which took the title of tallest in 2018.

Alcatraz sits out in the bay, a prison for less than thirty years and a national park for far longer. The fog that comes through the gate in summer arrives in the afternoon and can take the whole view out inside twenty minutes.
