Thrasher’s French Fries, USA Live Cam

The queue at Thrasher French Fries runs along the boardwalk in Ocean City, Maryland, directly in front of this camera. Staff work the counter on the left, and people cross the frame in both directions on the wooden decking.

The stand has been at the foot of the Ocean City fishing pier since 1929 and sells one thing: hand-cut fries, salted, with vinegar and no ketchup. The queue is part of the institution, and it stretches down the boards through the summer.

The boardwalk runs about three miles along the Atlantic shore of this barrier island, with amusement piers, shops and food stands the whole way. The busiest hours are in the evening, when the beach empties and the boards fill up.
