Weather and time
This camera at La Posada in Winslow, Arizona, looks west over a wide BNSF yard with several parallel tracks. A red fence and a curved stucco garden wall run along the foreground.
La Posada was built by the Fred Harvey Company for the Santa Fe Railway and opened in 1930, and its grounds still sit right beside the tracks, with old Route 66 on the other side of the building. The line here is the BNSF Seligman Subdivision, and Winslow is a stop for Amtrak's Southwest Chief between Los Angeles and Chicago.
The frame stays fixed. A tall light pole and a bare tree stand in the middle, shrubs fill the left side and a tall tree the right, while an elevated steel structure and low yard buildings sit on the far horizon. Container trains and orange BNSF locomotives pass in front of the yard. The matching east view from the same garden is a separate camera.
