Grand Canyon Express Lift, Arizona Live Cam

A ribbon of made snow runs down the slope beside the Grand Canyon Express lift at Arizona Snowbowl, above Flagstaff. Bare ground and pine forest stand on either side of the piste.

The six-seat chair climbs the flank of Agassiz Peak in the San Francisco Peaks and works as a scenic ride in summer. The webcam looks over its top station and the run beside it.

Almost all the snow here is manufactured from treated wastewater, piped up from Flagstaff because the mountain has no water of its own. The peaks are sacred to more than a dozen tribes, and that decision was fought through the courts for years.
