Weather and time
The historic depot in Jesup, Georgia, faces two CSX main-line tracks that run past a lawn, a hedge and a row of white houses. A highway overpass crosses the line in the distance beneath a wide sky.
The present depot was built in 1903 by the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad and restored in 2012 after an electrical fire in 2003. Today it is an Amtrak stop served by the Silver Meteor, while CSX freights use the dual-track mainline in front of it. Just north of town the Norfolk Southern Brunswick District crosses the CSX Nahunta Subdivision.
This is a fixed view toward the north, and the frame never changes. A flagstone walkway cuts the lower left corner, gravel ballast borders the rails, and a playground and tall trees sit beyond the hedge. Freight trains pass along the tracks in front of the lawn.
