US Hwy 85 Bypass, Colorado Live Cam

US Highway 85 runs south out of Greeley, in northern Colorado, past the junction with 22nd Street that this camera watches. A weather readout runs along the bottom of the picture.

The town was founded in 1870 as a temperance farming colony, organised by an editor at the New York Tribune and named after the proprietor of the paper, who had been telling his readers to go west.

It runs on cattle now. One of the largest beef plants in the country works on the edge of town, the feedlots around it are why the traffic here is mostly trucks, and Denver is eighty kilometres south down the same corridor.
