Friday Harbor Airport Live Cam

The single runway of Friday Harbor Airport runs across this view on San Juan Island, in Washington State. Light aircraft stand on the apron in the foreground, and the water of the Salish Sea lies beyond the trees at the far end.

The airport covers about 59 hectares and is owned by the port district together with the marina and the town's boat launch. Traffic is small commercial flights to the mainland and general aviation, because the islands are otherwise reached only by the state ferries.

Low cloud and sea fog close the field regularly, and the camera then shows little beyond the nearest aircraft. On clear days the outline of the neighbouring islands stands out across the strait.
