Birmingham Sloss Furnaces Tracks, Alabama Live Cam

A pan-and-tilt camera on the Sloss Furnaces grounds in Birmingham, Alabama, watches the railroad tracks that run past a long warehouse. Wooded ridges close the horizon behind the roofline.

The museum on 1st Avenue North preserves the blast furnaces and machinery of an ironworks that ran until 1971. Norfolk Southern's AGS South District follows the south edge of the museum grounds, and a broad bundle of tracks passes the site on its way into the city.

The usual position looks across the near tracks and gravel at the warehouse wall, where freight cars pass in front of the building. The camera also turns along the tracks toward signal masts, with the edge of its own roof at the left of the frame.
