Benson was founded in 1880 as a stop on the Southern Pacific, and the town still sits on the Union Pacific main line between Tucson and El Paso. Two parallel tracks run in from the left toward the crossing signals, with a pale equipment cabinet beside the rails.

Where the west-facing camera at the same site follows the track, this one is aimed at the crossing and the open dirt yard in front of it. Utility poles and overhead lines divide the picture, and low hills with distant rooftops sit behind the signals.
