Benson Rail Line West View, Arizona Live Cam

Westward view along the Union Pacific line in Benson, Arizona, with the track bending toward town and a mountain ridge on the horizon. The camera stands at the Benson Visitor Center, a replica of the old railroad depot.

Benson lies on the Lordsburg Subdivision, the former Southern Pacific Sunset Route between Tucson and El Paso, and is an Amtrak stop for the Sunset Limited. Gravel, desert brush and a pale blue dumpster fill the near side of the rails.

The east-facing camera at the same spot looks the opposite way, so this one shows the town side: crossing signals and street lights at the far left, and heavy power lines cutting across the sky. The camera keeps this one fixed view.
