Sapphire Beach, Saint Thomas Live Cam

This camera looks northwest along Sapphire Beach on the East End of Saint Thomas in the US Virgin Islands. White sand runs past sea grape trees and palms, with the turquoise bay on the right and wooded hills dotted with villas behind.

Sapphire Beach lies on the eastern tip of the island, about a kilometer north of the Red Hook ferry terminal and some eight kilometers east of Charlotte Amalie. A resort with red-roofed beachfront buildings and a small marina takes up the southern end of the beach. The sheltered bay is popular for swimming and snorkeling.

The camera sits high on a resort building, so its wooden walkway runs down the left edge of the frame toward a white two-story building behind the beach. A volleyball net stands on the sand in the foreground, and the beach curves away to its northern end beneath a green hill.
