Baia Bodrum Hotel, Turkey Live Cam

A hotel pool overlooks Gündoğan bay on the northern side of the Bodrum peninsula, in Muğla province in Turkey. The camera looks across the terraces at the water.

Bodrum itself was Halicarnassus, and the tomb built there for a Persian satrap in the fourth century BC was one of the seven wonders. It stood for sixteen centuries, fell in an earthquake, and the Knights of St John broke up what was left to build their castle.

The peninsula is a series of bays like this one, each with its own village. Gündoğan is among the quieter of them and faces north, which keeps it cooler in August than the south coast.
