Weather and time
This camera looks across the mouth of the Tamsui River from the Bali Left Bank shore in New Taipei, Taiwan. Its views change between the Danjiang Bridge, the Tamsui waterfront on the opposite bank and the shoreline park below.
Bali Left Bank is the south-western shore of the river mouth, where the Tamsui River runs out into the Taiwan Strait. A promenade and cycle path follow the water, and a wide mudflat shows at low tide. Across the river, Tamsui rises from the waterfront as a band of apartment blocks with hills behind. The Danjiang Bridge crosses the mouth about two kilometres away.
By day the view turns from a wide look over the river to a close frame of the bridge pylon, and to the north-east shore with its pier. An evening view faces the sunset over the Bali rooftops. After dark the pylon glows pink and violet while Tamsui lights up.
