El Rebeco San Isidro, León Live Cam

El Rebeco is a bar at 1,950 metres above the San Isidro ski area, in the Cantabrian mountains of the province of León. The webcam turns across the pistes and the ridges beyond them.

The pass here is the divide between León and Asturias, and the weather changes over the top of it: the Atlantic side is wet and green, the León side dry. The area works about 26 kilometres of pistes up to 2,100 metres, and the bar takes its name from the chamois that live on these slopes.

These mountains also hold the Cantabrian brown bear, a population down to a few dozen animals in the 1990s that has since climbed into the hundreds. The western massif of the Picos de Europa shows on the horizon on a clear day.
