Sunset Bar Centromar, Madeira Live Cam

Cabo Girão closes the western end of this bay on Madeira, and palm fronds frame the terrace the camera looks out from. The Atlantic fills the middle of the frame.

The headland is one of the highest sea cliffs in Europe, dropping around 580 metres to the water, with a glass viewing platform built out over the edge. Câmara de Lobos and the dark sand of Praia Formosa lie along the shore between here and there.

The webcam stands at Ponta da Cruz, above the Doca do Cavacas pools, where the seafront promenade from Lido continues west. Sunsets go down behind the cape, and fireworks over Câmara de Lobos bay in June and December fall inside the same view.
