Michałków Airport, Poland Live Cam

Michałków is a grass airfield just outside Ostrów Wielkopolski, in the Greater Poland region of the country. The webcam looks along the strip with the gliders lined up on it.

The field belongs to an aeroclub, which is how most small aviation in Poland is organised: local clubs own the ground and the aircraft and train members on them, a structure that survived the change of system in 1989 largely intact.

Gliding is the main activity. The flat country and the summer heat over it make usable thermals, and the club runs a training school for both gliders and light aircraft.
