Valley of Valldalen Live Cam

The Valldalen valley opens onto Norddalsfjorden at Valldal, on the west coast of Norway in Møre og Romsdal county. The webcam stands on the shore at Muritunet and swings across the water to the ridges opposite.

The valley grows strawberries on a scale that surprises visitors this far north, helped by long summer daylight and shelter from the mountain walls. Fruit from here reaches supermarkets across the country in July.

Two of the better-known mountain roads in Norway start within a short drive: the hairpins of Trollstigen climb south toward Åndalsnes, and the ferry at Linge crosses to the Geiranger arm. Birch on the slopes turns yellow through September.
