Weather and time
This camera looks down from Risnakken hill onto the village of Selje at the south-western base of the Stad peninsula in western Norway. Houses, a football pitch and a small harbour sit below, with the fjord and steep mountains beyond.
Selje belongs to Stad municipality and was a municipality of its own until 2020. Risnakken is a hill just above the village centre, with a small day-trip cabin at about 135 metres. The outlook from there takes in Selje centre, the Seljesanden beach, the island of Selja and the Stad peninsula.
The camera turns between views: down over the roofs and the pitch, out across the water to a large mountain on the far shore and a small island, and along the fjord between dark mountain walls. After dark the street lights and the lit harbour quay stand out against the black water.
