Bodø Panorama, Linken Hill Live Cam

From Linken, a knoll on the Rønvikfjellet ridge, this view looks south over the rooftops of central Bodø to the harbour and the Saltfjord. Jagged mountains line the far shore of the fjord, and the quays of the port fill the right side of the picture.

Bodø is the largest town in Nordland county and lies on a peninsula north of the Arctic Circle. Much of the old centre burned in the German bombing of May 1940, so the centre below was largely rebuilt after the war. Rønvikfjellet is a favourite walking area with marked paths and viewpoints. In 2024 Bodø was a European Capital of Culture.

From this height most of the town is in view, from the residential streets on the left to the port on the right, with birch scrub on the slope below. On clear autumn mornings the sun rises over the mountains at the left edge of the frame.
