Weather and time
This beach camera looks out over the Wassenaarse Slag, a beach entrance cut through the dunes on the North Sea coast at Wassenaar. It sits high above the dunes and covers the sandy beach, the surf line and the access road below.
Wassenaarse Slag lies north of The Hague, beside a protected dune area between Scheveningen and Katwijk. A road winds through the dunes down to a small group of beach pavilions where it meets the sand, and a wide beach stretches along the coast. Beyond the pavilions and the parking area, the beach is backed only by dunes.
The camera does not keep one view. It turns between the access road and parking area among the dunes, a long reach of beach with pavilions, and a seaward view past a grassy dune crest. Unlike the Katwijk and Scheveningen cameras, it shows a quiet dune entrance to the beach.
