Strandafgang, Egmond aan Zee Live Cam

The main beach entrance at Egmond aan Zee lies below this webcam, on the North Sea coast of North Holland. Beach pavilions stand at the top of the ramp, and dune grass runs across the foreground.

The village sits in a gap in the dunes, and this ramp — the Strandafgang De Werf — is how everyone gets down to the sand. Behind it lies Pompplein, the square with the cafés and shops, and the lighthouse stands a few hundred metres north.

In summer the ramp carries a steady line of people and beach trolleys. Out of season the pavilions come down and the wind moves sand across the concrete.
