Royal Haciendas Beach, Playa del Carmen Live Cam

This camera at The Royal Haciendas in Playa del Carmen overlooks the resort's beach and rows of palm-thatched umbrellas on white sand. The Caribbean Sea opens to the left, and a wide terrace on the right leads to the guest buildings.

The resort sits on the northern edge of Playa del Carmen, a Quintana Roo town that grew from a small fishing village into a major Caribbean destination. The island of Cozumel lies about 20 kilometres off this coast, and ferries to it leave from the town's main pier.

A thatched lifeguard tower stands at the edge of the sand, and a large palapa-roofed building sits by the water. Low barriers in the shallows run parallel to the beach and shelter a strip of calmer water. Unlike the resort's garden camera, this angle focuses on the shoreline itself.
