Jalan Benteng Sg Kapar, Klang Live Cam

Downstream at Jalan Benteng the Kapar river is wide and shallow, and the camera takes in a full bend of it from the outer bank. The camera stands high on the outside of the curve.

Sandbanks show through the brown water in the middle of the channel, a raft of water hyacinth is pinned along the far side, and behind it an oil palm plantation runs to the horizon in a solid dark line. A spoil heap of dredged sand occupies the right foreground.

This is the most open of the Klang views and the only one where the frame is mostly river. The sandbanks are the gauge here: they surface as the flow drops and vanish completely when the catchment upstream has had rain.
