Old Town Panorama, Cingoli Live Cam

The camera looks out from a rooftop in the old town of Cingoli, over tiled roofs and a white bell tower to the rolling hills of the Marche. Pale stone buildings and conifers fill the foreground, with fields and wooded ridges beyond.

Cingoli is a hill town in the province of Macerata, at about 630 metres on the slopes of Monte Circe. Its high position and wide outlook over the region earned it the nickname of the Balcony of the Marche. The old centre keeps much of its medieval ring of walls, and the town is the birthplace of Pope Pius VIII.

The frame is fixed and very wide, taking in the old town roofscape and the open countryside below in one picture. A rusty metal frame on the rooftop crosses the foreground, and the domed bell tower stands out against the hills at the centre.
