Kesatrian Field, Wonosari Live Cam

This camera looks across Kesatrian Field, a broad open lawn just east of the centre of Wonosari in Gunungkidul Regency. A paved strip with a black-and-white kerb runs along the near side, and rows of red-and-white tents stand at the right edge.

Wonosari is the administrative centre of Gunungkidul, in the south of the Special Region of Yogyakarta on Java. A label in the frame ties the field to the local Kodim, the military district command, whose barracks lie nearby. The grass is dry for much of the year, and the field is large enough for parades, fairs and other gatherings.

The lens is wide, so the edges of the picture curve. A utility pole with a transformer and cables fills the left side, and a green metal frame closes the right. The view stays on the field at different times, so tents and vehicles on the grass are easy to follow.
