Nyang Nyang Beach, Bali Live Cam

Nyang Nyang lies at the foot of a cliff on the Bukit peninsula, the limestone tail at the southern end of Bali. The webcam is at a cafe above the sand and looks out over the reef.

The beach stayed empty long after the rest of the coast filled up, because reaching it meant several hundred steps cut into the cliff face. A rough track has since been pushed down, and a handful of warungs followed it.

The Bukit is raised coral limestone rather than volcanic rock, which is why it is dry, thin-soiled and ringed by cliffs; Uluwatu temple stands on the same wall a few kilometres west. The reef in front dries out at low tide.
