The Island Cafe, Nusa Ceningan Live Cam

The channel between Nusa Ceningan and Nusa Lembongan lies below the cafe terrace, with the reef and the surf beyond it. The webcam looks out from the south coast of Ceningan, off the south-east corner of Bali.

The lines of stakes in the shallows are seaweed plots. Growing carrageenan seaweed was the entire economy of these islands before the fast boats started bringing day trippers, and some families still work the tide.

A narrow suspension bridge joins the two islands at the northern end; the original collapsed in 2019 and was replaced with a stronger one. Nusa Penida, much larger and much steeper, lies across the strait to the east.
