Pantai Batu Bolong, Bali Live Cam

Batu Bolong is the middle one of the three beaches at Canggu, on the south-west coast of Bali, and its sand is dark volcanic grit. The webcam looks along the shore from a bar above the break.

The name means holed rock, after the outcrop at the north end with a temple built on top of it. The wave in front is gentle enough for beginners on most tides, which is why the surf schools set up here rather than further down the coast.

Canggu was rice terraces and a few warungs fifteen years ago. It filled up a great deal faster than its roads did, and the single lane behind this beach now carries most of the traffic of one of the busiest districts on the island.
