Kehl, city panorama Live Cam

Kehl faces Strasbourg across the Rhine, which forms the border between Germany and France at this point. The webcam turns over the bridges, the water tower and the cathedral spire on the far side.

A tram has run between the two towns since 2017, crossing on a bridge of its own. It was the first line in the region to cross the border, and it put the centre of Strasbourg twenty minutes from a German high street.

The park along both banks was laid out jointly for a garden show in 2004 and is joined by a footbridge. Kehl was French for a century after 1681 and was taken and returned more than once before the border settled.
