Cold Hawaii, Klitmøller Live Cam

The beach at Klitmøller in North Jutland lies below this webcam, at the Danish surf spot known as Cold Hawaii. Campervans and a coach fill the car park in the foreground, and kites and boards work the water beyond the dunes.

The reef off this village makes a reliable wave in a country with almost no surf, and it drew a scene here from the 1980s onwards. The local club and a national windsurfing centre are based in the village, and world tour events have been held on this beach.

The best conditions come with autumn and winter storms off the North Sea, not in summer. Klitmøller is small, so the car park in the frame is a fair measure of how many people are in the water.
