Port of Split, Split-Dalmatia Live Cam

The ferry port at Split stretches towards the old town in this view, on the Adriatic coast of Croatia. A Jadrolinija ferry lies at the quay in the foreground, and the Riva promenade with its palms runs along the waterfront behind.

Split is the main port for the Dalmatian islands, and the berths in view handle the Hvar, Brač and Korčula routes as well as the overnight boats to Ancona. Behind the Riva stands the old town, built inside the walls of the palace Diocletian retired to in the fourth century; the wooded hill of Marjan closes the view to the west.

Sailings are heaviest from June to September and the quay in the frame is then full from early morning. Another camera in the city covers the small Zenta marina east of here.
