Senado Square, Macau Live Cam

Senado Square lies under this webcam in the centre of Macau, on the western side of the Pearl River delta in China. The wave-patterned mosaic paving runs the length of the square, and the fountain that locals name it after stands in the middle.

The square covers about 3,700 square metres and forms part of the historic centre of Macau on the UNESCO list. The buildings around it are Portuguese colonial in style, several of them protected, and the lane at the far end leads on towards the ruins of St Paul's.

Foot traffic runs through the square all day and the fountain is lit after dark. At Chinese New Year and at Christmas the whole space is decorated and the crowds thicken considerably.
