Caiobá, Matinhos Live Cam

Praia Brava at Caiobá runs across this webcam view, in the town of Matinhos on the coast of Paraná, Brazil. The promenade runs along the left, tyre tracks cross the wet sand, and blocks of flats stand behind the beach.

Caiobá sits at the point where two beaches meet: Praia Brava, open to the swell, and the sheltered Praia Mansa on the other side of the Morro do Boi hill. Paraná has only about a hundred kilometres of coast, so in January the whole state comes to it.

Out of season the beach is wind, walkers and surfers. The promenade in view was rebuilt along with the beach when the shoreline was widened.
