Pier Beach, Blankenberge Live Cam

This rotating camera overlooks the beach at Blankenberge on the Belgian North Sea coast, with the town's pier in the distance. Along the horizon runs the long breakwater of the port of Zeebrugge, topped by container cranes and wind turbines.

Blankenberge is a seaside resort in West Flanders known for its wide sandy beach and for the pier that reaches out over the water from the seafront. The camera stands high on the Zeedijk, the promenade road along the beach, about a kilometre southwest of the pier. Dark groynes run across the sand toward the water.

The framing changes: some views centre on the round pavilion at the end of the pier and the breakwater behind it, others tilt toward open water with passing ships and small sailing boats, and a few look down at the empty sand.
