Tini Martini Bar, Florida Live Cam

The bayfront at St Augustine runs along the Matanzas River, and the webcam looks over it from a bar terrace on the seawall. The Bridge of Lions crosses to Anastasia Island on the right.

The bridge opened in 1927 and takes its name from a pair of marble lions at the western end, carved in Italy as copies of a pair in Florence. It was rebuilt in the 2000s with the towers taken down, restored and put back up.

St Augustine was founded in 1565, forty-two years before Jamestown, and is the oldest continuously occupied European settlement in what is now the United States. The fort a few hundred metres north was begun in 1672 and never fell to an assault.
