Weather and time
This fixed camera in Santa Fe, New Mexico, watches the Rail Runner tracks from a rise next to Rodeo Road. Beyond the rails lie a wide street junction, rooftops and a low peak on the horizon.
The line is the NMRX Santa Fe Subdivision, used by New Mexico Rail Runner Express commuter trains that connect Santa Fe with Albuquerque and by Sky Railway excursion trains. The closest Rail Runner stop, Zia Road station, is a short distance up the line to the north, and the Santa Fe Rail Trail runs alongside the tracks. The Rodeo Road level crossing is only a short walk from the camera.
The angle stays the same: gravel and a second track fill the bottom of the frame, stop signs and a pedestrian-crossing sign mark the junction behind the rails, and utility poles, houses and trees stretch toward the hills. Evergreen branches frame the right edge.
